Tested and... approved!
On 27 June, the LEAD team transformed the beautiful Château de Tharoul into a dynamic rehearsal space for our upcoming « Chaos and Crisis » retreat. This full-scale dress rehearsal was more than a simple logistical test — it was an immersive experience designed to bring every element of the 3-day retreat to life.
From strategy to spatulas: a test like no other
For a day, laptops gave way to spatulas and our team took over not just the castle but its kitchen too. The spirit of collaboration thrived in an unexpected setting, with team members preparing meals together — an exercise that revealed the surprising parallels between crisis management and coordinating in a kitchen.
A preview of the retreat journey
The day's programme offered a practical preview of the retreat's key elements:
🗺️ The 7 Islands map: Together we explored this orientation framework, using it to navigate the complex terrain of uncertainty and systems thinking.
🐎 The horses: With support from ChevalEssence — Sophie Maka, alongside Gaëlle Kerjean and Isabelle — we took part in the long-awaited equestrian exercise, a reflective and powerful component that continues to deliver deep personal and team insights.
More than a test — a celebration of team spirit
What stood out most wasn't just the planning and the trials, but the camaraderie. Around chopping boards and shared meals, the team solved challenges, tested ideas and found joy in working side by side. It reminded us of the extraordinary creativity and generosity that drive everything we do at LEAD.
With our systems tested, the château warmed up and team energy on the rise, we're ready to welcome participants for three extraordinary days of learning, growth and a few culinary surprises.
